about a year and a half ago
i fasted 2 times for about a week…i didn’t really know anything about it so i just thought “wow easy and fast weight loss”
but then i found out how it slows your metabolism down and all that…
and then i was watchin this thing and it said fasting hinders weight loss
does that mean that it just makes it difficult or that i won’t be able to lose weight ever again
i havn’t been able to lose weight… since then
what should i do

Yes, you need to eat between 5-6 meals a day to speed up your metabolism. Otherwise, your body goes into starvation mode, hanging on to that one meal you give it sporadically and your weight will never change, it is not good for your body. Once you eat regularly again (if you starve yourself), you will gain the weight back and then some. Trust me, as I’m speaking from experience! Also, don’t get disheartened, it may be a while before you will lose any weight eating 5-6 meals a day as your body gets used to the routine, but then it will melt off after that (this coming from advice from a health expert I spoke with on Saturday). Also, I have experience because I too used to starve myself from a young age (think Slim-Fast and red cabbage), and as a result am overweight (not a good way to be, but am slowly losing weight now that I eat regularly, about 14-15 lbs. in the past three months). You must eat, or your body holds onto what you eat, not allowing you to lose any of it. Eat healthy, and often for optimal weight loss or your body will fight you when you’re older, slowing your metabolism to a hault. I hope this helped, good luck with your goals!
