i have been a certified personal trainer for over 9 years and i can assure u that the 300 workout will not make you look like the guys from the motion picture. it is a very intense and advanced workout that is not the best or safest program for a novice weight lifter. the exercises in the routine have to be done with very precise form that can only come from years of working out and performing each exercise the proper way to maximize results and minimize the chance for injuries. If done improperly some of those exercises could do some real damage that can sideline you for weeks or maybe cause permanent damage to your body. if you are wanting to give the workout a try, make sure u speak with a qualified trainer who focuses on proper form, safety and explains things to you so there is no question how you should do each exercise when you are working on your own. its a unique program that has its pros and cons. Personally there are better, safer and more effective workouts that will still be unique and interesting to do. To me the benefits dont justify the potential risks that come along with that kind of weight training routine. If your goal is to look like the 300 Gladiators did, then the 300 workout will leave you very disappointed and discouraged.

If I understand correctly that it is one set of each exercise … then I suppose it’s not a bad workout. Not great but not bad.
The movements are pretty solid bulk movements.
Though I would only have chosen about half of those selections.

It lacks range of motion.
It lacks not just abs but the entire core.
It lacks hams, forearms, delts … other groups and tie-ins — and only addresses the muscles it targets from repetative, limited angles.

If you do it, understand that fairly shortly you’ll need to start mixing it up to keep in a state of growth.
