My “workout” routine?

Question by paul p: My “workout” routine?
have always been a pretty skinny guy, and i was wondering if the current routine i practise every day will help me get some kind of muscle, i’m not looking to get a really pronounced six pack, just a nice “outline” of a six pack, and i would also hope to get bigger (not huge) biceps. I do 10 press-ups, have a very short rest, then 10 sit-ups, another short rest then another 10 press-ups but with my feet resting on a chair, and i finish with another 10 sit-ups. I do this twice a day, just after i wake up and before i go to bed. I have time and i am not really looking to get magic abs over night. What i want to know is if this current routine will eventually lead to bigger muscles as long is do it every day, and also gradually try to increase the number of press/sit-ups i do. Thank you

They never deload. In fact, they come in for weeks and weeks on end and train their asses off. That is good and bad. Good in the fact that they are trying to build muscle, get stronger and get faster. They are trying to get more mobile, more explosive and get better for their sport(s). BUT With all of this training, you must build times into your program to recovery. And I’m not talking about a one recovery session. I am talking about a week long attention to getting your body ready for the next intense 3-4 week training block. This is called a deload. myreviewchoice.com Muscle Workouts. A lot of people today overlook the importance of a healthy eating plan as an important part of their workout program. They assume that they can merely eat anything they desire and still grow muscle, or even that they’ll simply start using a popular body building dietary supplement and that should take care of everything for them.

Question by akronymn: Can I do cardio training and muscle building at the same time?
The April ’10 issue of Men’s Health has a “Big Arms Workout” that I would like to try. It is high and intensity and calls for working out only twice per week. I would also like to keep biking and jogging 4 or 5 times per week. Can I do both and see good results from both? or will both workouts be less effective? Also and diet tips for a regimen like this are appreciated.

Go for it. Having more muscle burns more calories, and cardio is always a good idea. Do your weight routine first, then finish the day with cardio.

Q&A: Does the “300 workout” actually work?

Question by Rocky: Does the “300 workout” actually work?
Hi All
I workout a good amount and am in pretty good shape. I am always looking to take my body to the next level and although I am more muscular than I could ever want to be, I want a change of pace. If I start doing this workout, I hope to tone parts of my body but not lose my muscular build. Would I be able to do both or would it just tone my body and reduce my muscle size because I would be doing more cardio work then I am used to. As of now, I just lift low, heavy reps to build muscle. Thanks for the advice.
